Austin is a bit shy, like his sister Marla; he slightly taller and larger than Marla. Please watch for updates in their profiles as they are brand new and we are still getting to know them. Austin is delightful, gentle, and will be beloved by his new family! Austin is a bit apprehensive given all the recent changes in his life. He may not have had much individual attention, but he is thriving on it now! He's treat motivated, which is very helpful with training. Austin is cooperative and willing on leash, and he is learning to walk on leash to meeting and interact with new people. Austin is soaking up the kindness and will have a lot of fun running and playing with new dog friends.   Austin needs a private, adjacent backyard and at least one other similar size/age dog friend in his new home. He requires careful supervision as pertains to gates and doors, so we'll be watching for applications from homes where children, if any, are middle school or older. Austin will be placed in the Phoenix metro area, for proximity to our rescue (home checks, follow up visits, visit to finalize adoption) and for access to our veterinarian. Our adoptions begin with a Foster-To-Adopt period, which is not feasible with remote placements.
