Rizzo & Frenchie are 13 year old sisters who are the sweetest and kindest souls looking for a place to call home. They were rescued - along with their feral mom Sandy - from a Brooklyn sandbox when they were 4 weeks old. They have been hand raised in a loving foster care environment. They were adopted in 2013, but returned in 2025 when their adopter became allergic. Adopting a senior cat may be scary to some people, but these gals have so much love to give. Shy at first (due to their recent stressful life changes), they come slowly out of their shells but once they do they love to live the good life with snoozes, scratches and plenty of biscuits. They love to get gentle scritches and some yummy treats.  Rizzo is a stunning cat, with her white nose/chest and unique soft fur. She always stands out, because she's our three-pawed wonder! Rizzo is missing her front right paw. It's a birth defect. Rizzo has no issues because of it. She hops along totally fine. Rizzo will always stay close - she may not be a total 'lap cat' type - but she wants to be near you. She'll crash out on the sofa while you watch TV and follow you to bed. Frenchie is a tabby with bright green eyes. She's a bit shy around strangers at first, then she blossoms into a talkative, happy-go-lucky cat! With not a bite or scratch in their adorable personalities, these two would make the perfect addition to any quiet home and relish the opportunity to live out their lives in a safe and cozy place with each other and their human(s).  Rizzo and Frenchie were rescued with dental issues and need of surgery. We would be thrilled for a potential adopter to provide a larger adoption donation ($400 total) and/or assistance crowdsourcing funds towards their necessary vet bills if possible.
