Foster or forever home wanted, meet adorable Austin! If only this little guy could talk I’m sure he’d have some stories to tell. Austin came into the San Bernardino shelter back in March with no tags and no microchip. No one ever came looking for Austin.
Within a couple of weeks of arriving, Austin started getting sick with what appeared to be an upper respiratory infection. The shelter treated him with antibiotics and he started to recover. Fast forward another few weeks and Austin was at risk because he was in the same building they had some cases of distemper. The shelter staff and volunteers were very fond of him so they reached out to us to help Austin.
Austin came to us back in May and we quarantined him immediately had a respiratory PCR test done to be sure he was not a distemper carrier. We were so happy the test came back negative!! The hospital staff love him and say he is just the sweetest, happy little boy. Austin is dog social and a great size. Now it’s time for Austin to begin to enjoy being a puppy!
If Austin sounds like a pup you’d like to meet please head over to labradorsandfriends.org and fill out an application. Austin is located in Southern California.
