Selene was found as a stray in Independence, NJ. Further investigation led us to her owners but they signed her over to us. They are unable to take care of her and had been calling all rescues and no one could help them.  We aren’t judging but perhaps there could have been a better way to relinquish this dog.  Selene is as sweet as can be but has never been to the vet or spayed. She has been brought UTD and will be spayed in the coming weeks. Selene is very thin so we are feeding her several times a day in order to get her weight back up.  Selene is on the small side and between 1 and 2 years old. We are still getting to know her but she has been amazing with all of us and doesn’t seem to mind the dogs around her. As soon as she is strong enough we will do more testing .  We promise her nothing but love moving forward and she is most certainly deserving of a family who will never let her go.  if interested in Selene please fill out an adoption application out at njshpetrescue.org
