Starla is a super cute pup who is currently with our rescue partner in Louisiana but she is hoping to come to NJ soon. We do offer a foster-to-adopt trial to approved adopters. Starla was found as a stray with a broken leg. The city shelter has zero funds for vetting dogs so her prospects were grim until a local rescue stepped up to save her. Starla had surgery on her leg and is now being treated for heartworm. She is a sweetie who is shy at first but very sweet and loving once she knows you. She loves affection and sleeps right next to her foster mama in bed. Her favorite place to be is foster mom's lap! Starla is dog and cat friendly and probably best suited for older kids. Starla is fixed, up to date on vaccines. She is completing treatment heartworm and can come to NJ after October 15th. Her adoption fee is $450.    Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training   prior to adoption.
