Gwennie is a beautiful girl who is looking for a new home. Gwennie is with our partner rescue in Louisiana but hoping to come to NJ in October.  Gwennie was found as a stray after she was hit by a car. She ended up in an awful place, a small rural shelter with no funding for medical care for even basic vaccines no less emergencies. Her life was saved by an amazing rescue in Louisiana named Mardi Paws. Gweenie had a broken jaw requiring special surgery. She did well with that but then we learned she was pregnant.  In early July, Gwennie gave birth to Willow, Maple, Ash, Oakley and Alder. The puppies are growing up and will be heading to NJ on our 9/20 transport. Mom Gwennie will be starting her treatment for heartworm once the puppies are weaned and she will be ready to come to NJ afterwards. Gwennie is dog, cat and kid friendly. Gwennie will be fixed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and will have completed treatment for heartworm before coming to NJ. Her adoption fee will be $450. Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training   prior to adoption.
