Name: Atwood
Animal Type: Dog
Breed: Doberman Pinscher / Mixed
Age: 3 Years 1 Month
Gender: Male
Adoption Code: A600062
Animal Profile:
Atwood is a quiet, thoughtful pup with a calm, easygoing nature. He takes his time getting to know new surroundings, but once he’s comfortable, he’ll gently come over and ask for affection.
While he may seem a little reserved at first, Atwood really comes alive around other dogs. He’s done great in shelter playgroups, politely greeting others, initiating play with happy play bows, and even helping shy dogs come out of their shell.
Atwood is:
Mellow and well-behaved in his kennel
Great on leash with no reactivity
Friendly and affectionate with people
Gentle with treats
Not into toys, but loves yard time
Shelter Doggy Day Out approved!
Staff describe him as a “nice, mellow dog” who’s patient, easy to leash, and just enjoys being near his people. Atwood would do well in a calm home with or without another dog—he’s not high-energy, just a quiet buddy looking for his person.
Atwood was at risk for euthanasia, and we put in the pull request the day he was scheduled to lose his life. This sweet soul deserves a chance at a happy life here in the PNW. We can’t wait to see him shine!
