We want to welcome Lucinda to our rescue family! She's the most gorgeous brindle Feist, around two years old, and she was hanging around under someone's porch in Mississippi but would run whenever she saw a human being. Thank goodness one of our awesome southern rescuers was able to trap Lucinda, and after just a few days in foster care she has firmly become an indoor dog. Lucinda is loving the comfort, yummy food, attention, and affection she's getting and is spending her days relaxing in a sunbeam, prowling the backyard for squirrels, and showing her love and gratitude to her foster family. Lucinda is gentle, mild mannered, super sweet and actually smaller than she appears in pictures at 27 pounds. Unfortunately she is heartworm positive and of course we are treating her. She's going to need to wait for several months before she'll be able to come to New England, and we hope to have a loving family waiting for her when she's fully recovered. We're going to hold off on listing her as available for adoption until we see how she responds to her heartworm treatment, so stay tuned for more about Lucinda!
