Hi, my name is Archimedes, which is Greek for "Big Love". That may not be strictly true, but the people here at the rescue tell me I'm a big love bug, so let's go with it. I love people and I'm looking for that special someone to love for the rest of my life. I've had lots of changes in my life recently. I was adopted from SDHR 5.5 years ago. I moved to Chicago with my dad. I thought I was his best boy but then he surrendered me to a shelter in Chicago because he was moving and said I couldn't come along. I don't know what I did wrong and it broke my heart. The folks here at SDHR sprang into action and got me bailed out of cat jail then got my a ride back to Cincy with a volunteer. I needed some time to decompress, but now I'm ready to love again. I'm about 8 years old and weigh 14 pounds. The vet says I need to lose a few pounds so I can live a long healthy life. I guess I'd feel better if I lost some weight.  I need a home with no dogs. They're rude filthy creatures. If I'm honest, I don't much care for other cats either. Ideally I'd love to be your only pet. I'm pretty sure I can fill your home with love all by myself. Are you ready to meet up? If so, you can fill out a cat adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org and my staff here can set up our first date. I'll also be at SDHR's weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate. Our cats are fully vetted and require indoor-only homes. All other pets in the home must be spayed/neutered and up-to-date on vaccines. We will not send cats to homes where they will be declawed, a harmful practice that can cause lifelong physical and behavioral problems. Our cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, combo tested, dewormed and microchipped.
