Need a familiar for your daily adventures? Vegemite is ready to be your constant companion! Vegemite is the gentlest tabby cat we’ve ever met. He clearly was not suited to the mean streets of Brooklyn. He arrived with lots of matted fur, an upper respiratory infection, and very anxious, but he’s had quite the glow up! He sat SO patiently for hours while we combed out all his mats, and took his cough medicine no problem (when hidden in a treat) Despite being a bit of a sensitive boy, he is calm and tolerant with people. He LOVES affection and wants nothing more than to be by your side as much as possible (with some occasional breaks to chase his stuffed pickle toy). He is quick to warm up to strangers, since more people = more tummy rubs!   He is a bit chatty (he has the sweetest little chirp), but we expect this will calm down as he comes more confident and secure. He could use a house without dogs or young children, due to his nervous nature.  If you’re looking for a gentle boy who will dote upon you endlessly, Vegemite may just be the boy for you.   This cat would prefer to be adopted alone and be the only cat in the home.
