Once the undisputed king of a corner deli, Babou has traded street smarts for sofa naps—and he’s absolutely thriving. This former bodega cat has embraced indoor life with grace, blending his natural curiosity with a deep appreciation for the cozy things in life: soft beds, bird videos, and human companionship. Babou greets you at the door with a sweet chorus of short meows (unless he’s mid-nap, in which case you’ll have to wait your turn). While he’s not a lap cat by default, he is the kind of guy who’ll happily be scooped up for a cuddle, enjoy some pets, and then find the best corner to loaf in like a little lion. Playtime is his passion—especially with his humans. Give him a feather wand and he’ll chase like it’s a deli mouse on the loose, complete with dramatic tumbles and triumphant puffs of air. He also loves solo play and will keep himself entertained when you're busy, then roll around to remind you how cute he is. Protective and curious, Babou takes his self-assigned role as “house supervisor” seriously—checking each room for suspicious activity before settling down.
