Bryonia Bristol is a special gal. She can be sweet when she wants to be, but also loves to just hang out and watch what you're doing. She's not shy at all, she will follow you around and see what's going on, but if you touch her and she's not feeling it, you'll get a little swat (sans claw).  She has come out of her shell SO MUCH in the past couple of months, and now pretty much always accepts gentle scritches, leaning into them and closing her eyes (she even lets kids touch her!).  She needs to be given time to adjust in a new environment, and her adopter should be prepared to let her adjust at her own pace. She should start out in a small space like a bathroom to help her get comfy. Bryonia was recently being fostered by someone with the intent to adopt, and the foster decided to let her out of the bathroom as soon as she arrived home, and wanted to return her twelve hours later because Bryonia was hiding. Within a day, she was out of hiding at the foster's home, but she still wanted to return her. We know with time she would have come out of her shell so much. Bryonia just needs time and patience in a new environment, and we know she will make the best calm, independent, and beautiful companion.  Can you give Bryonia a chance? This cat can be adopted with a friend or as a single cat. Bryonia had a dental surgery, which was paid for by a generous donor!
