The day we have all been hoping for is finally here!
Our sweet shelter resident, Freya, is officially ready to be adopted after being on hold and stuck here since January and we are SO happy for her!
Freya is a young, energetic soul with a deep desire to connect. She’s endlessly sweet, a little bit goofy, and incredibly eager to love and be loved in return. Life in the shelter has been hard on her — she’s trying her best to stay hopeful, but what she truly needs is a home, a person, a place to exhale. There’s something about Freya that tugs at your heart the moment you meet her. Maybe it’s the way her eyes light up when she sees you, or how her whole body wiggles with joy when she knows she’s about to go outside — even if it’s just for a short walk. She’s still learning her leash manners (sometimes her excitement gets the best of her), but she’s smart and wants so badly to do well. With a little patience and a lot of love, Freya will flourish. She’s the kind of dog who will follow you from room to room, curl up next to you at the end of a long day, and look at you like you’re her whole world — because you will be. The shelter walls have not dimmed her light, though they’ve made her restless. Freya dreams of space to stretch, grass beneath her feet, a warm place to sleep, and someone to call her own. She doesn’t ask for much — just a hand to guide her, a heart to trust her, and time to become all she’s meant to be. Freya is more than ready for her next chapter. She doesn’t need perfection — just kindness, consistency, and someone who sees the beautiful dog she already is. Could that someone be you? ➡️
Freya is about 4.5 years old, spayed, and up to date on all of her vaccines. She has also been tested for heartworm and she is heartworm free.
