Meet Truffles!Truffles also called 'Trufa' is your typical Baja mutt. She was rescued while she was encountered deep in the hills of ensenada while some hikers where camping, She approached them and following her where 6 little babes who where probably a month old. The hikers thankfuly couldn't leave them behind, grabbed the pups and mom followed them waggy tail behind. The family was rescued mid March and a local Ensenada Rescuer was contacted for help. Truffles was a great mom for her nursing pups. Sometime in July the rescuer seeked help from a local shelter to take the family. They accepted the pups but sadly mama was too shy and scared shivering in her kennel so she was denied intake. Her original rescuer thought of spaying her and relsing her back but Truffles is too social and people loving highly adoptable and submissive to survive on her own and be released as a community dog, like many of the Baja dogs. She deserved a chance. Arwob was contacted and we accepted her into our program early september as of Mid October Truffles is now available for adoption. This healthy, fully vetted, strong and SO loving girl is now available for adoption and will make her debut at our 10/18/25 adoption event. She is currently staying at casa de arwob. She was boarding at the vet for a couple of weeks and is one of staffs favorite boarding dogs! At casa de arwob she is doing great. Crate trained, has not had house accidents (we can't say she is fully house trained but she is pretty good) and is very social and friendly towards dogs and ALL people. We have not cat tested her. She does not seem to be a barky/vocal dog and so far the only 'negative' we have seen is her 'jumping' on people which is mostly standing on two hind legs and standing up to put her front legs on you to say 'Hola! my name is truffles lets be friends!" we where told while in Baja she was great with children so she would likely be a great family dog as well. Truffles would love to find a forever family and in the meantime would be so helpful to find her a foster home, Interested in adopting or fostering this beautiful dog? For more information please contact us or visit us online at ARWOB.org
