HOSPICE/RETIREMENT HOME NEEDED Adoption Donation: $99   Location: RI Age: Approx 14 years old Weight: Approx 26 lbs.   Andre came to Anchor Paws Rescue by way of Naugatuck Animal Control. Andre was a frequent visitor of the shelter as the former owners would just let him out and roam the streets, if he came home fine, if not oh well. The ACO put their foot down and had them surrender Andre to them.   About Andre, you would never know this boy is in hospice care he's very happy, very active and a love bug. Andre has a grade 4 out of 6 heart murmur, a softball size tumor outside on his chest and to top it off he has a very large mass on his spleen. For a few reasons surgery is out of the question. They say with the grade 4 heart murmur and being 14 it could be too much on his heart. The final reason is they are afraid he will bleed out. We are looking for a retirement home/hospice home for Andre to live out his days. This boy is such a good fur-baby. He is only on 1 pill and that is it.
