Foster or Forever Home Wanted: Meet Flower! Flower is a beautiful medium-sized Lab mix weighing about 35 pounds. This gentle girl has been through more than any dog should ever have to endure. From what we were told, she was cruelly thrown out of a car in a crate on the freeway and later taken in by animal control. While in their care, her puppies were aborted during her spay, and understandably, Flower has lost much of her trust in humans. Despite all she’s been through, Flower is incredibly sweet and wants to connect—she just doesn’t quite know how yet. She will need a patient and understanding family willing to give her the time and space she needs to decompress and come out of her shell. She will need to learn how to be on leash, as that is currently a terrifying experience for her. Flower would do best in a calm home with another confident, well-adjusted dog who can help show her the ropes and teach her that people can be kind and safe. With love, patience, and consistency, Flower has every chance to bloom into the happy, trusting dog she’s meant to be.
