To apply to adopt this dog now, complete our adoption application   HERE To see our upcoming events where you can meet some of our dogs, please see   HERE Age: 5-6 years old (As of 011/11/25) Weight:  65 lbs. (As of 11/11/25) This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped. Meet Kross FABULOUS dog!  tolerant, mildly playful and respects corrections with other dogs, ignores cats, likes walks, cuddling, cratetime, meeting new people, likes calm exploration vs exerting energy; learns routine quickly, crate & house trained! *possible* therapy/ESA dog material.  Kross is an affectionate, intelligent, gentle adult who is eager to please. Our Southern partner noted that Kross maybe suited as companion/ESA dog. He a good boy who is goofy, quiet, resilient and independent. He has a calm disposition, knows commands and learns quickly. Kross likes to go on walks, but also a couch potato, he is potty trained and will let you know when he has to go out for potty and come back inside. No need for his new family to work on those skills!  Kross, currently is not living with children. With visiting children, he is tolerant, unengaged, playful, and responsive to corrections. Kross would be best with older children over 7 then with small toddlers.  If you have a cat or small animal Kross is tolerant, respects corrections, simply ignores them doesn't care if they exist.  Kross is anxious on car ride. He may need some leash training, he does pull some, but walks calmly and with loose leash for the most part Crate trained, Kross is quiet/ clean in Crate for up to 8 hours, When Kross finds his forever home like any rescue, he needs a little time to adjust, but then Kross will know the routine     Kross's Story: Kross's previous owners split up and the new landlords did not allow dogs.   An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see   HERE   for more information about this. To apply for this dog, fill out an adoption application on our website:   Adoption Application - SOS Animal Rescue League in Rhode Island (sosarl.org)   **Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
