AVAILABLE FOR A FOSTER or FOREVER HOME!! Meet Harley! A gorgeous one year old, big (90 lbs), sweet girl looking for her forever home. Harley is returning to SPOT after being adopted out as a puppy due to home conditions changing. She is now ready for her next adoption to be her last. Harley is extremely loving of her people yet also has some Shepherd tendencies around protectiveness, stranger danger, and guarding. So an experienced dog owner is best for her and ideally someone familiar with the breed. Harley is both food and toy motivated , so if you are looking for a highly trainable dog- this is the girl for you! She is well mannered in the house, knows basic commands, and is crate & house trained. She has been living with another dog whom she loves and would love to have another doggie friend to hang out with. She is super smart, takes direction easily and is eager to please! She needs at least a good hour to hour and a half of exercise daily. She walks great on a leash and would be a fantastic hiking/adventure buddy. Harley loves children, but can become protective of them true to her breed mix. So she needs a home where her behaviors will be shaped positively and not allowed to run the household. She walks well on leash, but can be reactive to other dogs and people approaching too quickly. Our trainer with SPOT has offered free consultations for her new family to ensure she starts off on the right foot. And free lifetime admission to monthly group classes. Harley's Adoption fee is $350 and includes spay, microchip and current vaccinations.
