Name: Iona
Animal Type: Cat
Breed: American Shorthair / Mixed (short coat)
Gender: Female
Adoption Code: None animal-tracker

Iona and her siblings, Irina and Ivan, were rescued from a feral colony when they were about 7 or 8 weeks old. They were all very sick with bad eye infections, and with lots of care, they have improved by leaps and bounds!  Iona is a classic marbled tabby with white. Her eye is still being treated and is healing.  While Iona will sometimes purr upon being pet, she doesn't enjoy being picked up, and is apprehensive about being handled. However, she is easy to handle and should come around at least to her caretaker with regular one-on-one attention. Please consider adopting Iona with one of her siblings or her friend, Freddy Friend. Single-kitten adoptions are possible when there are other playful and cat-friendly cats in the home. Learn more about the reason why we don't adopt kittens out alone. Foster-to-adopt one or more kittens while they await their spay/neuter surgeries and an official adoption can be executed. We recommend they be kept in a bathroom or spare room away from other cats for the time being. This litters' appointments are scheduled for February. This litter has an estimated date of birth of October 14th, 2025.
