Ruger is wonderful with kids, has lived safely with a young child, and is known for his sweet, gentle heart. He’s a high-energy, enthusiastic dog who also enjoys plenty of downtime—napping on the couch, relaxing near his people, and snoozing through much of the day. Ruger gets bursts of excitement when visitors arrive but settles quickly. He is crate trained and does best when he has a safe, cozy space while his humans are away. Ruger enjoys the company of other dogs and has done well in boarding and social environments. He may do best with sturdy family members, as he can be a bit clumsy and forgets how big he is.
