Sadie is an 6-year-old female who has recently experienced a major upheaval in her life. After the passing of her owner, Sadie is understandably confused and frustrated as she tries to make sense of all the changes around her. At her core, Sadie is an easygoing, friendly dog with a playful side. She has lived with other dogs and generally does well with them. She enjoys companionship and has been described as approachable and social with people. Right now, Sadie has a tendency to guard things that are familiar and comforting to her. This behavior appears to be situational and rooted in stress and loss rather than long-term temperament. With patience, consistency, and a calm environment, she is expected to settle as she feels safe again. Sadie would do best in a home that understands she is grieving and needs time to decompress. A quieter household with experienced, dog-savvy adults who can provide structure, reassurance, and clear boundaries would help her thrive. Helping her on a gentle weight-loss journey will also be important for her overall health and comfort. Sadie is looking for someone willing to see past this difficult transition and offer her the stability and love she desperately needs.
