Foster or Forever Home Wanted: Meet Creed!
Creed is a one-year-old Lab mix with a giant heart and a whole lot of love to give. His start in life was rough—found on the side of the road with multiple old and new wounds and healing, infected fractures—but through it all, shelter staff described him as the sweetest dog ever. And they weren’t wrong.
This boy loves people. Creed’s favorite place is as close to you as possible—leaning in for pets, soaking up attention, and occasionally attempting to climb into your lap like he’s pocket-sized. He’s affectionate and a total heart-stealer. Toys are a big hit too.
Like many young pups, Creed is still learning his manners and can be a bit mouthy, so he’ll do best with older, dog-savvy kids who can help reinforce calm, appropriate play.
Right now, Creed’s main job is healing. He’s on strict, short, controlled walks while his fractures continue to recover. Once he’s medically cleared, he’ll benefit from continued training to build confidence, structure, and polish up his puppy skills.
At this time, we’re still learning about Creed’s comfort level with other dogs. He currently shows big reactions when he sees them, which may be due to limited movement, pent-up energy, or lack of early socialization. Once healed, safe introductions with calm dogs will help us learn more.
For now, Creed is looking for a quiet, loving foster (or forever) home where he can finish healing and start the next, much brighter chapter of his life.
