Looking Glass Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) virtual rescue, using a network of dedicated fosters throughout Louisiana and the Northeast to care for our animals until adoption.  You may be required to travel if approved for adoption.   Meet Chester!  According to his foster, he's just a typical hound mix - loving, gentle, goofy, and happy!  It just doesn't get better!  He loves all people, other dogs, a good car ride, and his toys. When he's done with all of that, he simply wants to lay at your feet for a belly rub!  Chester loves to play with the other pups in the home and fits right in.  As with many dogs who are rescued, he can be fearful at times and needs time to warm up in certain situations - the vet for one!  But who doesn't have a bit of "white coat fear" at certain times!  Right now, he's busy learning some basic manners but is looking forward to finding an active, loving family who will make him part of their pack for life.  Chester has met children and done very well.  We are suggesting older children, 10 and up for now as he is still a jumpy puppy, but with proper training he will do well in any family.  As with all young puppies, Chester will need patience, love, guidance, and proper training to become a well-mannered family dog. He will also need time to acclimate to a new life and new surroundings.  We know Chester will return the favor with love and loyalty for a lifetime.      Applications can be submitted through https://lgarinc.org/adoption-application/.  Please note that you must be 25 years of age to adopt and we reserve the right to refuse adoption to anyone.  All applications are subject to review and approval and a tax-deductible adoption donation is required to be paid prior to adoption day.
