What his foster mom says — I wish I had all the right words to attract all the right adopters for this boy.  Jax is a 1 year old bunny/pit mix that I have had the pleasure of hosting at Charley's House. When Jax first arrived.... I was like WOAH. Now, I'm like "come on ya crazy hoot, let's do this" There's really not enough words to describe the love that Jax has to give once he trusts you. Seeing this "tough guy" slowly peel away at the layers of his onion day by day and week by week... sometimes I just get damn teary eyed. (AND I'M NOT EMOTIONAL ) Jax came to me with a multitude of issues. Some serious, some just puppy behavior... all a problem for the average adopter.  But he's a good boy And he wants to do the right thing.  Jax has practiced his behaviors 100% of his life and that means some days are good and some days we fall back into our "oh shit" days. None of this alarming as now we have a foundation of TRUST and Jax trusts ME to lead him...  JAX HAS SO MANY PERKS:  ➡️I can play with him with toys.  ➡️He absolutely loves fetch ➡️He likes eating around me and when I add goodies to his bowl ➡️He's learned to love his crate ➡️He will steal a shoe off your foot and not chew it. In fact, he brings it back as if to say "sorry" when he knows you're upset with him. ➡️he's HIGHLY food, toy, treat motivated.  ➡️ Easily corrected with zero reactivity/aggression  Jax really needs: no other animals (although I can have Jax with friends at Charley's House- he does not want to share toys, treats, food, or his crate space) no kiddos  fenced yard- Jax LOVES to sunbathe and bunny hop/zoomie around the yard.  A PATIENT ADOPTER I wholeheartedly love Jax and all he has to offer but he is not perfect by any means. He needs an adopter willing to train him every single day, offer him mental stimulation, structured walks, fetch, and exercise. It is IMPERATIVE for all dogs but especially crucial for him. Jax is available through Tails of the Unwanted in partnership with Charleys K9 Rescue and I am going to be so damn picky about his placement because he just wants to be a good boy and doesn’t always know how. Jax is looking for a foster or adopter, our applications can be found at lastdaydogs.com
