GIBBS!! Meet our newest little cutie pie looking for a home. He's a 3.5 year old 9 pound terrier mix, we were told Yorkie mix. In addition to Yorkie he appears to have some dachshund in the mix, and perhaps some scruffy type terrier, maybe a Norfolk? Whatever the mix, he's absolutely adorable with a long wire-haired coat. Gibbs was surrendered to us through no fault of his own. Gibbs is a friendly guy, a little timid right now but he's still decompressing after losing his home. He's new to the rescue but seems fine with other small dogs and so far appears to be housebroken. His scruffy coat will require regular upkeep to keep him looking and feeling great. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoption fee covers the dog’s veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention and any other needed veterinary care. A deposit is required to take a dog home for a trial period. The deposit will be applied to the dog’s final adoption fee.
