Sheldon is a very sweet, polite gentleman. If you're looking for a lap cat, look no further! Sheldon loves to snuggle and will climb onto your lap asking for affection. He enjoys sunbathing and gives no protest when being picked up. Overall, he is a nice mellow cat who will make a lovely companion. Sheldon was adopted from Valley Humane as a kitten. The household was ultimately not the perfect fit for him, but he is ready for his new forever home! He weighs 13.6 pounds. Sheldon's adoption fee is waived! Sheldon was diagnosed with a grade III-IV/VI murmur. A cardiac ultrasound was performed and diagnosis is a a stage B1 hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy (HOCM) was diagnosed. HOCM is a genetic disease that causes thickening of the heart muscle as well as turbulent flow of blood through the aorta. At this time, the cat you are adopting is not showing any signs of heart failure. He is currently on a medication called Atenolol to help his heart and will have to be on it life long.
