Meet Darcy & Duke!   They are an adorably bonded pair who are pretty near perfect! Darcy is a 6 years old Fawn female and Duke a 9 years old Black male. They are both spayed and neutered. They recently tested positive for Lyme and currently are being treated with antibiotics. Darcy has had a few accidents but this has improved once a potty routine was put in place. She is not a fan of going out when it is raining or wet, so if you cannot convince her, she will use the pee pad. Their Foster Home reports they always need to go out after eating.    Darcy & Duke seem to love everyone they meet and greet with tail wags and affection. People, dogs and even cats! They are affectionate and love pug snuggles! They are a bonded pair who have been in each other's lives for the past six years. They will let you know when they wish to eat or go outside.   Darcy & Duke settled into their Foster Home easily and are living comfortably with their pug sister. No squabbles to note, so we believe they would just as easily blend into your dog family (if you are one) or be a party of two.   They both enjoy their walks and handle well on the leash and love spending time outside in the yard. They love their toys and stuffies and entertain themselves both independently or with your interaction.   They were crate trained in their former home and their Foster Home uses one when they will be away for a several hours absence. They do not show any form of separation anxiety and are not destructive dogs.   We hear they do prefer a human bed at night, so you are forewarned! For potential adopters who love the middle-aged pug, and are looking for a ready made pug family, please consider this pair! These two have lots of pep in their step and will make you feel they have always been part of your family.   They are still learning to enjoy car rides. Darcy can be a bit anxious but she settles having Duke by her side. Dog savvy and respectful children are welcome. Companion animals are welcome but not needed. Be open to taking walks to encourage exercise. Duke & Darcy's ideal home would be where family members are committed to spending quality time with them and keep to a routine potty schedule and not left alone > six hours without a check in.
