Cookies is an affectionate girl once she feels comfortable, seeking snuggles and a warm lap to cuddle in, and gives little kisses of appreciation in return. She is a curious pup with medium energy who loves both being part of the action and taking the time to regularly update her smell maps. Like many dogs in a shelter environment, she can startle when approached without warning, and is sensitive to being picked up. Cookies is looking for an adult-only home with an experienced adopter who will let her make the first move and follow her lead, paying attention to her body language to ensure that she feels safe, and help to build her confidence. She may do well as either a solo dog or with a respectful doggie.
