Meet Marky, a gentle 6-year-old, 74-pound sweetheart searching for a calm and loving home to help him come out of his shell. While he may initially be nervous in new situations, Marky warms up with soft encouragement. He can be a little shy and unsure, but he’s incredibly cooperative and loves treats—perfect for positive reinforcement training. He’s an easygoing walker who stays close by your side and enjoys a leisurely stroll. Marky has become quite the model client in our spa, handling baths and grooming with remarkable patience. He arrived at the shelter with pyoderma, but his coat is looking much better thanks to the care he’s received from volunteer groomers. He may be a bit anxious with other dogs. He has shown he’s most comfortable as a solo dog, or perhaps could go home with well-matched companions.
