Baby Gus showed up at a home in northern New Mexico with some old bite wounds and a puncture wound on his abdomen. We took him in and got him to vet on same day. He had surgery to repair the puncture and was neutered at the same time. Doing well physically but we are working to help him overcome fearfulness. He is not yet ready for a new home except with an experienced dog rescuer/ handler but he is doing well and we think he will be ready in a few weeks. Sweet boy who will do well with gentle people and animals but may need some special care for awhile.
