Scooby Dooby is a young playful pup who is ready for new adventures. This handsome little guy comes from a situation where he was living in close quarters with 5 other dogs. Unfortunately, his owner could not keep them all and Scooby was rescued and fostered. In his active foster home, little Scooby got along with all of the dogs and all adults. There were no cats or kids in his foster home, but he was playful, interested and calm when meeting new doggie friends. He is fine out and about in his home during the day and is used to sleeping in a crate at night. Scooby is calm on car rides, working on his house training and is respectful when he is corrected. What a smart boy!! He likes his independence but is affectionate and also likes to chill. He's just an all-around great little fella who will make a wonderful addition to his new family. Scooby Dooby is ready for his next chapter and to find his furever home.
Scooby’s story: He was part of a loving pack of five dogs owned by a woman who faced an unexpected crisis: homelessness. She had found a new place to stay but was only allowed to bring one dog, so she chose to live in her car, prioritizing her furry companions over her own comfort. Despite her efforts to find new homes for her beloved dogs, her attempts to re-home them had been unsuccessful.
As harsh winter temperatures set in, with nights plunging into the 20s and wind chills dipping into the low teens, one of our southern rescue partner’s compassionate volunteers stepped in to assess the dogs for potential intake. A heartfelt post on social media prompted a response from a local family willing to adopt one of the dogs. The dogs are now in loving foster homes and doing great!

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
